About Us

what we do

At The Honeybush Co, we are more than producers of herbal infusions. We are stewards of the land, storytellers of a South African legacy, and partners in a regenerative movement that connects people, plants, and purpose.

Our Origin Story

From the misty mountains of the Langkloof Valley, honeybush has long been used as a traditional herbal infusion and a natural remedy. Early botanical records date back to the 1700s, and today, this wild-growing legume has evolved from a regional remedy to a global wellness product.

Built on strong relationships with local landowners, the  The Honeybush Co was created to bring ethically sourced, premium-grade honeybush to the world—while protecting the land and empowering the people who’ve cared for it for generations.

Backed by Science

We collaborate with research associates and labs to continually validate the safety, quality, and health benefits of our infusions. Our research associates include:

  • The Agricultural Research Council (ARC)

  • Stellenbosch University

  • University of the Western Cape

  • South African Medical Research Council

  • Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA)

Honeybush is rich in:

  • Mangiferin (anti-inflammatory, antioxidant)

  • Pinitol (supports blood sugar regulation)

  • Polyphenols (heart health, metabolism)
